The decoction
Four hours before it's any good.
Eighty per cent Chikmagalur arabica, twenty per cent chicory, roasted by a man in Chickpet who still won't tell us his settings.
A corner shop on Cambridge Road. Ground twice a day, brewed by drip, poured from a height until it stops complaining.

Vada and upma until eleven. Cold brew through the afternoon. Bajji and sundal from four.
Now serving
The dial keeps the menu's time. Whichever service is running has the brass dot beside it right now — the same dot marks every dish on the counter over on the menu. Coffee is the exception. It runs all fifteen hours.
6am – 11am
Coffee, vada, upma. The fastest queue of the day.
11am – 4pm
Cold brew and something to eat. Nobody will rush you.
4pm – 9pm
Fried snacks come out at four. They go quickly.

The room
Mosaic floor, marble tops, two plug points by the back wall. Students sit all afternoon on one coffee, and that is entirely the point.

Book a table
Anything smaller than four, please just walk in — there is almost always room. Groups of four and up we will hold for fifteen minutes past the time.
