Now serving

Three services, one filter.

Anything with a brass dot is on the counter right now. Anything dimmed tells you when it comes back. Coffee is the exception — it runs all fifteen hours.

How to order

At the counter, then sit.

Order and pay at the counter, take the token, sit wherever you like. We bring it over. Nobody will come and ask you if everything is alright, because you would tell us if it wasn't.

Coffee arrives in a steel tumbler and davara. If you want it in a cup because you're not confident with the pour, ask — it isn't a test.

Say strong for half the milk. Say light for the other direction. Sugar is on the table, not in the cup, and we will not be offended either way.

Worth knowing

Prices
₹35 to ₹120. That is the whole range, and it is the price you pay.
Card or cash
Both, and UPI. No minimum on card.
Vada
Fried to order — give us six minutes. It is worth the six minutes.
Upma
One pot a morning. When it goes, it goes, and it usually goes by nine.
Kitchen closes
8:30pm. Coffee carries on until the shutter comes down.

Not on the menu

The short list of things we won't make.

No cappuccino, no latte, no flat white. There is no steam wand on the premises and there isn't going to be one. Milk is boiled in a pan, the way it has been boiled here since the shutter first went up.

No sambar with the vada. Coconut chutney only. This is a coffee house that happens to fry a good vada, not a tiffin room, and we would rather do the one thing properly.

No syrups, no whipped cream, no oat milk. We know. People ask most days. The cold brew is black and it is very good black.

If you have an allergy, tell whoever is at the counter and they will tell you honestly what is in it. Everything is cooked in one small kitchen with ghee, so we can't promise you separation — only a straight answer. Ring 080 4123 8867 ahead if it matters.
